There’s a certain vulnerability in looking at yourself in the mirror and not feeling “good enough.” For years, I struggled with a body feature that seemed to bring me nothing but frustration: my big butt. It didn’t fit into the conventional beauty ideals I saw in magazines, on TV, or even in the people around me. Growing up, I would try to hide it, shrink it, or minimize it in whatever way I could. It seemed like every time I walked past a store window or glanced at a magazine cover, I was being told that my body wasn’t “right.”
